1 of 3: The new website
August 13th, 2008 • 9 Comments

We’re quickly approaching what is essentially my favourite time to be an Xbox gamer in Canada.  And while I can’t really talk about specifics yet, I’m happy to report that all my work is essentially done, save a few small tasks.  Over the next few days I’m going to be talking about three different different (yet related) subjects. The first thing that I’m going to cover is the new website.

Now, i know what you’re thinking.  Yes, I did just redesign my website a few months ago.  Unfortunatly for me, the reaction was pretty underwhelming.  I’m a professional though, and I can roll with the punches.  I hit the drawing boards and itereated my design until what you see before you came to light.

Welcome to the seventh version of 360prophecy.com!

Aside from the design, there really isn’t anything new with the exception of the sparsely populated Gallery page.  It will grow more soon, but for now it houses pictures of the X07 prints which were given away at last year’s community party.  So what did we do? A lot of streamlining, more compliance stuff, and a flashy design.  I’m hoping it’s going to be good for a while.  I’ve had so many projects on the go since I started the Canada Day stuff that my gaming time has been sorely reduced!  The content of the About page will also be getting updated soon when I include information on… reoccurring characters!?

It’s not all perfect yet mind you! Here are a few things that still need to be fixed:

  • The search results page is pretty useless.
  • CSS rendering issues in Safari
  • The archive page is… uhh… missing
  • A few small bugs here and there that you probably won’t run into

So that’s all I really have to say for today.  I’ll be back again soon to go over the second thing I want to talk about.  In the interim, I’m very curious to know… what does everyone think of the new site?
