Video: Making Vector Word Balloons
June 10th, 2009 • Comments Off

Photoshop is an amazingly popular tool. Along with it’s big brother Illustrator, the two essentially dominate the creative industry. One of the things I find absolutely fascinating about Photoshop is how different every one I’ve ever met uses it.  In fact, I’ve never met anyone that could claim mastery over the entire program.  If you take ten designers and ask them all to accomplish the same end result in Photoshop, there is a good chance they’ll use ten different techniques.

Knowing this, I try to spend as much time as I’m able reviewing the work of others and reading/watching a lot of tutorials.  Here’s a few of my favourite spaces on the net to get Photoshop/comic tutorial goodness…

The point of all this is to say that I’ve created by own video tutorial! I made it in response to an article on Webcomics.com regarding the creation of word balloons.  Video is going to be a big part of the 360Prophecy presence in the future and this is just a small taste (it’s not all going to be tutorials).  It’s embedded after the break, but you can watch it in HD by hitting up our Facebook page.
