360Prophecy (commonly referred to as 360P) is a comic that appears on Xbox.ca and in the Inside Xbox news feed on Canadian Xbox 360 consoles. Started in 2006, 360P injects humor bi-monthly (usually) into your otherwise boring existence. It is independant, and not owned, edited or influenced by Microsoft in any way.
In its purest form, the comic essentially takes characters from upcoming or recently released Xbox 360 games, places them in unusual situations and allows us to watch the results! Fun!
About the Artist
Jeff, better known by his Xbox Live gamertag Sinnix, has been an avid gamer for more than twenty years. From Atari 2600 to the latest generation of consoles, he’s pretty much seen it all. His favourite games typically have some kind of RPG aspect to them (although not JRPG which he can only take in small doses) and he can hold his own in any FPS on the market. While the Xbox 360 is obviously his console of choice, he’s also owns systems from all the other major players.
In January 2008 (and then again in January 2009 and then again 2010!), Jeff was awarded with Microsoft MVP status for his dedication to the Xbox community.
About the Writer
Another avid gamer, Maranda (or Hotelqueen) brings her years of PC and console gaming and a quick wit to the 360P table. Always one to speak her mind, she has been featured in not one, not two, but three articles on What They Play. She’s been in the Gamer Spotlight back in May 2009 and has even written for trendy websites like Popchix. In addition to handling the writing, she also doubles as our community manager (a role she’s filled for several other websites in the past!) Rad!
Update Schedule
360P is released monthly day and date with the game that it’s based on. Typically the comic will be released on 360Prophecy.com first, then the Inside Xbox feed, and finally Xbox.ca.
